Desktop Power Adapters

Desktop Power Supplies enclosed in a non-flammable plastic enclosure are with a removable AC cable and a DC output lead to connect to the device being powered.

Desktop power supplies are able to provide more power than wall mount power supplies, and also typically have a wider range of functions and also more agency approvals. Desktop power supplies usually have 2 components: the actual supply with a DC cord attached, and the AC power cord. A desktop power supply may or may not come with an AC power cord. It is available in three standard sizes—2-prong standard cord, 3-prong standard cord, and a 3 Prong Mickey Mouse style cord (flat or round cord).

These external power features universal AC input operation in the range of 90 ~ 264vac are generally available on any AC power supply worldwide. All Super Dragon power supplies have been qualified to meet international safety standards for ITE / Industrial applications (IEC/EN/UL 62368-1) and/or Household and similar electrical appliances (IEC/EN 60335-1) and/or Medical application (IEC/EN/UL 60601-1).  Additional standards regarding no-load input-power limits and operational efficiency have been adopted over the years and all Super Dragon power Supplies comply with DoE (Level VI) | EU ErP 5 standards ensuring devices comply with any energy standard established around the globe.

The use of an external power supply makes the power or battery-powered equipment portable without the need for additional built-in power modules or for the production of equipment for specific power sources. The same equipment may use different adapters, powered by 110 V AC or 220 V AC, vehicle or aircraft batteries.
